Missions

"Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me."  -Matthew 25:40

First Baptist Church provides an array of opportunities to support and participate in the ongoing mission of God.  We seek to participate with what God is doing in our community and across the globe.  There are a number of mission groups that meet monthly to learn about and participate in mission opportunities:  Brotherhood (3rd Tuesdays at 6:30pm), Sisterhood (2nd Tuesdays at 7pm) and WMU (1st Tuesday at 10am).

First Baptist Church is also home to the Foothills Housing Partnership (FHP).  FHP provides emergency home repair and assistance to  families in need, as well as addressing long term housing needs for the poor.

First Baptist Church has recently started a new mission effort called Fields of Hope.  Fields of Hope is a potato crop is that grown to help feed the hungry in Western NC.
